Patrol
The Patrol units (uniformed deputies) are responsible for the day-to-day patrolling of the county, answering complaints, serving civil processes, criminal warrants, and responding to crime scenes and crimes in progress. Patrol deputies often provide back-up for the city police departments in Franklin County.
In addition, the Sheriff's Office provides school resource deputies for Franklin County Schools.
The Sheriff's Office has 25 sworn deputy positions.
