Multiple Burglary Arrests

12/14/2012

Four people have been arrested this week in connection to two different burglaries.  Investigators arrested Brian Rasko, 18, of Cherokee and Kenneth Green, 20, of Red Bay on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 and charged both with 1st degree Theft of Property and 3rd degree Burglary.  The pair were arrested after investigators received information from a Shoals business and authorities in Colbert County.  Both have since been released on bond.

The second arrest was made on Thursday, December 13, 2012 when a person in a Franklin County community saw suspicious activity at a house.  The home that was burglarized is a rental house that is not currently occupied and the suspects reportedly took the hot water heater.  Arrested were Rickey Dale Guschke, 56, of Russellville and Shane Croslin, 25, also of Russellville.  Each was charged with 3rd degree Burglary and 3rd degree Theft of Property.  Both have been released on bond.

We want to make the public aware of possible suspicious vehicles and subjects who may pose as tree trimmers to gain access to private properties.  They are not a legitimate business.  The vehicles are a late 80’s model to early 90’s model white Ford pick-up that has an Alabama license plate but is missing the tail gate and the other is a late 90’s model Chevrolet extended cab pick-up with an Arkansas plate.

If you see any suspicious activity in our county, please don’t hesitate to contact our 24-hour dispatch number 256-332-8820 or 911.  But also remember, SAFETY 1st, do not put yourself in harms way just to get more information.  Make the call, but BE SAFE.
